Conçue pour les grands enfants, la Air Jordan 5 Retro Low GS « Hurricanes » arbore des couleurs vives qui reflètent les teintes emblématiques de l'Université de Miami. La coupe basse est dotée d'une tige en cuir gris Football, avec un filet au niveau du quartier, entouré d'un empiècement en cuir verni brillant. Sur la languette, un Jumpman brodé est représenté en orange brillant, assorti à la doublure du col et aux bloqueurs de lacets. Un logo Jumpman argenté orne le talon. La sneaker est ancrée par une semelle intercalaire en polyuréthane bicolore verte et orange. Une unité Air-sole visible au talon offre un amorti léger.
